Squirrels & Spring Term 2024

Welcome to 2024!

2nd Mortlake is delighted to celebrate the launch of its new Squirrel Scouts Drey for children aged 4 to 6. The Squirrels have been enjoying themselves as they start their Scouting journey. Meeting themes have included getting to know Scouting and the Scout hut, the history of 2nd Mortlake, what to do in an emergency situation and the popular pancake day. The Squirrels were also invested as full Squirrel Scouts to join all the other members of the Group.

Our other older sections have also been busy in January and February – the Beavers had a brilliant time at the District Beaver New Year Party. Una, one of our Tuesday Beavers bravely took part in the show, the pictures look amazing  – well done Una!

The Cubs gained their DIY badges and enjoyed making puppets and the Explorers practiced their shooting ahead of the District shooting competition in March.
