Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs Activities

Our younger Sections enjoyed another great last few months.

The Squirrels went on their first “hunt” outside the hut on Mortlake Green.

The Beavers had a packed series of activities including an exciting sleep-over at the hut and expeditions to Sheen Common and Richmond Park. They also learnt about first-aid and several Beavers gained their Bronze Awards by completing the required numbers of badges – well done Beavers! The Tuesday Section met some of the animals from the mobile zoo – Bruno the Royal Python, Blossom the skunk and Hagrid the skinny pig and the summer term finished with some fun Beaver “Olympics”.

The Cub Sections managed to meet outside on a number of occasions and had a great evening cycling in Richmond Park.  As usual you can find photos here.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
