Spring Term 2025

The Group rounded off 2024 with many successful activities and this has continued into the start of 2025. The Beavers’ meetings included making Remembrance Day poppies, as well as Mexican themed and healthy eating sessions. The Colonies also attended the Richmond District Disability Awareness Day in March. The Scouts had a successful evening in the Escape Rooms in Kingston and the Explorers restarted regular sessions again with a catapult building competition – they look pretty professional!

Many young people took part in our annual event in December at Waitrose East Sheen – helping shoppers pack their bags and engaging with members of the community – thanks to all those who helped cover the day. The Group again held its popular Quiz Night in February – thanks to all those volunteers who helped organise the event and to everyone who came along on the evening. The events together raised over £3,000 for Group funds

All sections enjoyed the very successful Shrove Tuesday Pancake evening at Christ Church – many thanks to the Rector Jonathan Haynes for allowing us to hold the event in the church.
