Scout Camp 2024

Date: 15th Aug 2024 Author: Web Administrator

Last month, the Scout Troop held their summer camp at Buddens Activity Centre near Corfe Castle in Dorset.

The sun shone for the week for their activities although the mud trail looks pretty weather independent! The Scouts also enjoyed archery, laser tag, kayaking in the lake as well as frisbee and hill rolling and a trip to the beach. They completed a 6 km hike and then cooked dinner themselves afterwards. The campsite looks great with expert tent pitching and striking camp before leaving to come home.

Thanks as ever to all the leaders who gave up their time to run the expedition.

Photos of the event can be found here and a short film of the photos & the hill rolling here (opens in YouTube).

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
