Beaver District Adventure Day

Date: 12th Nov 2024 Author: Web Administrator

In October, 2nd Mortlake Beavers joined other colonies from all across Richmond District at the District Beaver Fun and Adventure Days. The event was held at Walton Firs Activity Centre in Surrey. After a fun-filled day on Saturday, many of the Beavers spent the night at the Centre and had the chance to go on a night hike. Sunday was the Adventure day and the Beavers tried their hand at a range of adventurous activities including the Low Ropes, Archery, Crate Stacking, the Maze, the Adventure Trail and the Night Line.

It looks like a great weekend was had by all – I think Beavers went home happy and tired!  The photos of the event can be seen here.

Thanks as ever to all the leaders who gave up their free time to run the weekend.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
